Steve Perry

Whether or not you personally like Journey's music(they are hit and miss with me), Steve Perry really has an amazing voice and vocal range and I think that he's generally not given enough credit by people because of the group's reputation for being a sell-out arena rock band. But just listen for example to his vocals on the old Journey song 'Lovin,Touchin,Squeezin', his vocals really blow me away on that one.

So do any of you think that Perry is one of the all-time best vocalists in rock music or do you not care for his sound at all? Lets hear it.

You can tell Steve Perry has listened to a great deal of Sam Cooke.

I revisit this Journey album...

...featuring Randy "Dawg" Jackson on bass.

I'll Be Alright Without You
Girl Can't Help It

Some of his most soulful singing and tasty guitar playing from Neal Schon.

I think Steve Perry and Neal Schon are a great duo and neither one has been the same since they stopped working together.
