The best 'The Brothers Johnson' album is... BLAM!!
Can you dig it? It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Great LP!!!..still have it on vinyl. But I'm gonna have to go with "Right On Time".
I remember in the "BLAM" LP liner notes that the son of Louis would have his own joint out in 20 years (lol)..did it ever happen?

I have to say "Look Out for No. 1," then "Right on Time," "Blam" and Light Up the Night" rank as my favorite albums from The Brothers Johnson. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

Notably, this was the first album that they produced themselves without Quincy Jones.I think it's brilliant.I have it on vinyl.Favorite songs are "The Real Thing",the disco-y "Dancin Free" and "I Want You".a really good album from start to finish.I heard that there is an import Japanese copy that features a bonus track.Probably really expensive though.

Both produced by Bryan Loren. Both tracks has his signiture sound. I like his production and writing. What ever happened to him? Remember Lollipop Love? I heard he was very difficult to work with.

I had heard there was an import of this CD,containing the bonus track "Let's Swing",which originally appeared on the B-side of "Stomp".

I'm glad to see that so many of you like this album. It's often considered a disappointment by critics.I've heard some people say this was their "first flop".To me,this album is comparable to the previous album 'Light Up The Night'. I recall in the summer of '81,"The Real Thing" was THE JAM!

No One has mentioned "Sunlight." I love this track from Winners.
You can find "In The Way" on recently re-issued greatest hits from Hip-O/Universal.

Btw, One of my friends refers to 'Winners' as their "Toto" album, because of all the input from Toto's bandmembers.... .... Can you dig it? I don't feel like diggin' in the crate at the moment, but I'm going with "Blam", because if I remember correctly they had a track titled "HeatWave" (Correct me if I'm wrong), but that was one of the NASTIEST tracks the Brothers have EVER done.
