Robert Randolph I saw him with his "Family Band" Friday nite @ Roseland Ballroom NYC. I really enjoyed it!!! A lot of energy!
I saw him when Santana brought him out for a couple of songs back in January and I thought he was good, but I liked seeing him in his own show. I bought his CD yesterday- I am really diggin' the 1st track, " Ain't Nothin' Wrong with That". "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I like it. I love guitar; it is very rock-oriented. It also has a religious-vibe to it: "Jesus is Just Alright", "Deliver Me", "Angels", Blessed"...
(I know some people get offended whenever things even hint of God). He definitely grooves.... "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Robert is the truth. He gets my vote for "most Hendrix-like" in the past few years or so. He brings the fire to the stage!
