Girls Aloud "ruling the Uk charts" once again

Not that i was surprised that they debuted at number one over in the UK, i guess im surprised at them being able to maintain the success they have had, especially when they have always been compared to the Spice Girls, which didnt last. There is a huge difference betweeen the two in my opinion, Girls Aloud have a ton of control over their careet and the Spice Girls had very little. Their new cd, which is a Best of with 3 new tracks and a limited edition bonus disc with new songs/mixes. The first single from the "Best of" peaked at Number 3 in the UK, called "Something Kinda ooohh", which was a really cool video too, it helps that they are all enjoyable to look at smile

The Next single is Unique, not the song, which is actually a cover "I think we're alone now" by Tommy James and then by Tiffany, but the girls shot the Video with 3 different endings giving their fans a choice of which one they want, basically its a cross promotion with a cell phone company, the video debuts next week. I did see a rough cut of it, with all the endings, and its a cool video once again, classy, sexy, not trashy, kind of James Bond like with the girls playing spies trying to distract this guy to steal a secret key.

Another thing i think that seperates them from the Spice Girls, is just the music, all the members of Girls Aloud have a very unique vocal style and look and way they perform, not that the Spice Girls didnt, but the Spice Girls to me always seemed to be a forced issue. And yet another SMART thing Girls Aloud have done.....staying away from America. Though i have to spend extra money to get their dvds/cds as imports, id rather deal with that, then them coming hear and conforming to American Radio standards, i think that would be the end of them at that point, plus if they dont they wont really matter, look at Robbie Williams and Anastacia and what they do in AMerica in terms of their success everywhere around the world.

Heres a sample of some Girls Aloud pics and their chart success so far in the UK and some other countries, their Concert DVD hits Nov 28th and the Hits is out now, just debuted at Number one in the UK

Basically if u enjoyed 80's pop in america which was dominated by the UK, things like Bananarama and others then you will Love Girls Aloud. Im not saying they are the geniuses of music, but its just good pop music, but not american Pop, which really is nothing.
