Keep it coming, ya'll nod

There's an album by Flip Wilson under his female alter-ego "Geraldine" with her wearing a yellow dress. I couldn't find that album anywhere....

It was credited @ the begining of Chris Rock's Bring The Pain HBO special.

Craps -- Richard Pryor: His "after hours" bit (a variant appears on SuperNigger) is in my mind, hands down, the greatest standup bit of all time.

Be-Be's Kids -- Robin Harris: Gone before his time, he's still hilarious. His joke about the Lakers and the Clippers kills.

Eddie Murphy -- Eddie Murphy: Getting hit by a car in Brooklyn will never be funnier to me.

Good thread. For me, ALL of Richard's albums are the greatest EVER. No one can begin to touch Pyror. Also, I favor Cheech & Chong's albums as well. This was BEFORE their break into films.

All Pryor and most Cosby, Carlin, Foxx.

Rudy Ray Moore

...Dolomite, Petey Wheatstraw, Signifying Monkey, etc.

Dick Gregory

...Dick Gregory On:

A few obscure picks you may or may not like:

National Lampoon...

...That's Not Funny That's Sick

Especially the Mr. Roberts skits featuring Christopher Guest's Mr. Rogers sendup interviewing the burnt out bass player played by Bill Murray.

Firesign Theatre...

...From the free-form FM radio days.

Allan Sherman...

...featured Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (A Letter from Camp).

I think it was the album before Delirious, which had most of its material from his 2d album. I think.

Daddy loved himself some Dick Gregory nod

He's the ultimate conspiracy theorist comedian(Thats why you never hear much of him and Gill-Scott Heroin). He was bald enough to stand up in front of Malcolm X and say to his face that "Elijah Mohammed was a pimp" backstage @ the apollo.

Malcolm said in his book, something like "my muslim instinct told me to attack him. But I couldn't,,,the brother was telling the truth".

I enjoy anything from George Carlin. The man is right on 99% of the time. I also enjoy many Cheech and Chong and Chris Rock too.

Was this the one where Eddie also does some mean impersonation of James Brown..still laughing at the gag.

The only thing about his concerts is that he should have cooled it on the gay jokes, especially with the rumours and allegations that surface in later years.

I think Delerious was the same as this lp--Comedian. I loved this one, also:

Lets Get Small
Wild & Crazy Guy--Steve Martin

An Evening With Wally Londo Featuring Bill Slaszo--George Carlin. Maybe not his best album, but takes me back
