I try to like John Legend, but he's just boring. He wants to be Alicia Keys or the next piano man, but his delivery is all the same. Theres no real songs that stick. I'll give him a chance to grow, but he really doesn't deserve all the hype. There's plenty of better neo-soul singers that should be getting all this attention and press.

His first album was a gem, I could listen all the way through and enjoy every song. This current album sounds like he just sat down in the studio one lazy sunday afternoon and kept recording. I hear no soul or creativity anywhere on this project. Do not waste your money and buy it. It sounds like an album full of elevator music.

he's not as wonderful as some say he is and he's not as awful as others claim. he seems pretty average to me. nothing i'm going to get excited about, but i probably won't ever hate him.

I think his voice is quite bland, and as both a songwriter and vocalist, Andrew Roachford runs circles around him.

A friend of mine was playing his new album for me and it seemed okay. I guess I don't have strong feelings for him one way or the other but when his songs come on the radio, I don't change the station.

I don't care about his sexual orientation. Because HE HAS NO SEX APPEAL AT ALL gay or straight. His voice has no emotion. Like someone said on another message board "He sing like a dead person". It is the same delivery over every beat. And it seems like he trying to hard to make his voice sound grainy/hoarce. He's just someone that they are marketing as "real music" because he knows how to play an instrument a la Alicia Keys.
