Actually, I copied the 8 Track onto cassette in the early 1980s. Then, I copied the cassette onto CD in the 2000s.

That 8 Track is about twice as long as what I've seen on the internet for sale. Looking at the tracklistings on the internet, that 8 Track looks like it contains both "Mutha Is Half A Word" and "Watch It Sucka". Looks like they are making several CDs out of one album for more profit. lol

LaWanda was an EXOTIC DANCER,,,just realized this recently.

Weezy Jefferson AKA Isabel Sanford was a chorus girl for Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Lionel Hampton too.

Ain't this something? wink lol

wow this is a wonderful thread. I would have loved to have gotten some of lawanda's stuff. I have an lp that was put out by the guy who played lenny on good times. then not too long after that, I ran into the guy and told him I had just ran across an lp of his. well he didn't like the price I paid for it once he asked and got the answer. what about mom's mabley? I am on a mission to find one or two more of hers.

FRANKLIN AJAI has the funniest comedy skit with mickey mouse in disney land. good to see some others out there who have heard of him.

falloff I love that one to death. His first. The pope runnin over people.

Was this the one where Eddie also does some mean impersonation of James Brown..still laughing at the gag.

The only thing about his concerts is that he should have cooled it on the gay jokes, especially with the rumours and allegations that surface in later years.

The 1st Eddie record is my favorite because of the last track"Boogie in your butt" cool

DAMN Aud. Go head with your bad self. Should have known u were hip to Lord Sutch. That album is bangin'.

When I was in High School, my best friend and I used to go on record raids every weekend in The Village looking for things nobody else had.

We saw this one in the bin listing Page, Bonham & Beck and couldn't pass it up even though we had no clue who this Lord Sutch character was.

His "vocals & lyrics" had us cracking up but the tracks were slammin'.
Flashing Lights, Thumping Beat and Wailing Sounds (bridge is very Zep) were my favorites.

I have a picture of Jimmy with Lord Sutch actually. (I'll look for it biggrin ) nod I've never heard that album though. I just haven't gotten my hands on it yet. If I ever found a vinyl copy of it, I'd so frame it and put it on my wall though. lol

Found it:

Good thread. For me, ALL of Richard's albums are the greatest EVER. No one can begin to touch Pyror. Also, I favor Cheech & Chong's albums as well. This was BEFORE their break into films.

nod

I also love Red Foxx's work
