And i was just thinking the other night how great The Upstairs Room is. I did my own version of "Japanese Whispers" incorporating Mr. Pink Eyes + all the Japanese Whispers tracks + several tracks from Blue Sunshine (Mr. Alphabet Says, Perfect Murder, Relax (great closer!!), The Tightrope (Great opener!!) and the Man from Nowhere. It actually works really well as a coherent album: THE CURE Japanese Whispers - the Northern Lad version

I admit I cheated with "10:15 Saturday Night". If we're restricted to b-sides that never appeared on any albums then throw in "The Exploding Boy" and maybe "Mr Pink Eyes" as replacements. | |

None of the b-sides after the 'Mixed Up' album stuck with me. They began to sound like generic Cure at that point. | |

Give 'em another chance. Some are fantastic. Especially "This Twilight Garden". | |
