Billy Joel is one of my FAVORITE musicians EVER. I think his talent as a songwriter and performer is VERY under-rated and it makes me sad. (On a side note: I think "I Go To Extremes" is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.)

All of my feelings about how awesome Billy and his catalog of music is aside..I've always wondered about 1 thing. What happened to him apperance wise? Was it all just age?

I mean back in 1989, around the time of his popular album Storm Front, he had the whole Michael Keaton/Men In Black combo look going on.






Whenever I see him perform now a days, he looks like he is like a totally different person and while he is totally older then he was in 1989, not THAT much time has passed. Is it his lifestyle? Is it just him kind of letting himself age? Perhaps being a MJ/Prince fan, I am use to my favorite performers looking the same, decade after decade. I don't know. Just something I've always wondered.

Baldness certainly wasn't flattering for Billy... I think it's just the hair. When did he start shaving his head?
