Jobriath fans?

i just wanted to know if anyone in here knew the brillance that is the artist who as formely known as Jobriath.
what a beauty!
voice is so lovely.
and the music would make bowie and elton john(whom i hate!)-
envious.

my favorite tracks of all time by him:
morning star ship

i have never heard his music, but i do know bowie has referenced him in the past as being influential. nod

yeah of course.
in a way he(bowie) is a dadaist.
cutting and pasting other works but making it his!
which isn't bad persay..but what makes him great is that he has his voice to back him up. it would be horrible if you were a copy cat but didn't have anything to back up your so called talent. do you get what i am trying to say?

i love how bowie picks and chooses aspects from those he's stolen from, and it's not a complete 100% rip-off...though enough to be shameless when it's pointed out!

Actually, if I recall, the liner notes for the Jobriath compilation that was released a few years back had some catty comments from Bowie. I didn't detect any hint that Bowie thought he was influential. Someone asked Bowie about Jobriath in the 90s and Bowie responded "Oh, HIM..."

I know that the guy from Suede (I can NEVER remember his name), Neil Tennant from the PSB, and Morrissey (who produced the compilation) have given Jobriath props.

I love Jobriath's stuff--I even bought a Jobriath shirt from Cafe Press.
