I'll have to check it out. I was planning on picking it up the week it was released, but there were some unexpected new albums that caused me to bump it. That, & the stream on his webpage was playing songs heaview on the vocal layering and light on the guitar (like his first solo album all over again).
Though I'm checking out his solo show in November... Thanks for reminding me! bc "I got the devil in me, girl." - 'John the Baptist', Afghan Whigs

To me, he's like a master alchemist - I can just see him in the studio, experimenting, overdubbing, just CREATING...Lindsey gets much props, from his geetar playing to his mastery of the recording studio. Dude ages like fine California wine. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

It all sounds NICE. But I must admit that this album bored me straight outa my mind and resort to porn after just three minutes. The music is GREAT, really, but his VOICE... Did somebody say snoozefest?
The album misses a punch line, probably in the form of the voices of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie. Maybe he should call Loreena McKennit too, if he's going to continue to work with folk music. Too bad. I really DIG this man's music.

I'm not sure if it lives up to the wait between solo albums (Mick seems to shake him down for some of his best stuff), but seeing his show makes me appreciate how seperate his vision is from Fleetwood Mac. If you get the chance, see the man live. LB shows are infrequent and far between, and you'll always remember how you barked through half of "Holiday Road".
