i didn't even know she existed until i saw the movie. i've never made the effort to listen to her music besides the songs that i heard in the movie.

i know very little of her music but she sings the hell out of "somewhere over the rainbow"

i'd say i'm more of a fan than i thought i was, however not her biggest fan. the girl had pipes; definitely. "Como La Flor" and "Que Creìas" were instant classics. "Amor Prohibido" is my favourite album of hers."Si Una Vez" & "No Me Queda Mas" are perhaps my favourite tracks. and her cover of the Pretenders "Chain Gang" ("Fotos Y Recuerdos"), and "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" are infectious. Jennifer Lopez did a great job in the bio-pic too. some people argue that her crossover would've never happened had she not been murdered. but i think if anything it just made it happen a lot sooner and under horrific circumstances. she had a lot of recgnition in the music business already, including a Grammy. Selena's music was varied in style, wether it be pop, tejano, r&b, dance, etc. i'm sure "I Could Fall In Love" would've cracked the charts, regardless of her untimely death.
