Well Cloud... U have the right idea. Very cool effort. How old are U? Young enough to develop?
Tell me, did U mix some of this right off the floor? Parts of it sound that way to me. #1 & 2 - need to bring up the bass and drums - punch it up a bit. #3 & #9 - sell to Enrique Iglesias. #5 & #6 - Joy in Repetition, especially with your intro. #7 - Reduce the snare, add some bone. #8 Purple Rain - nice flange, bring up drums. #10 - need some louisianna juice. hehe...I hear that typwriter too. Like it. | |

Like it. Im 18. Unfortunatly, u & I share the same thesis on the mixing of this track but I have no studio at the moment. This recording was recorded on a 4 track older than my grandad & I cant mix any individual parts. It just enables me to play all the parts at the same time. I cant even use studio techniques to improve my playing, just have to get it right first time & play live. Thanx for your insight & I will definatly consider some things you said when my studio software works again (damn wish there was a fingers crossed emoticon hehe) Thanks for listening God bless Lewis | |

BTW, the typewritter sound seems to be a limitation of realaudio's poor sound quality. U cant hear it in mp3, just the guitar percussion

Planny a time 2 learn buddy. Im only 19 myself and I hope 2 be a decent musician so that I can finish the back log of songs I started writing when I was 13. Why its taken me so long I dont know. All that Jason Dodson has is an 8 track CD recordable Tascam with a voice synth, noise reduction machine, an old harmony bass, and a Korg synth with built in 16 track sequencer, and he is able to do some pretty good near professional quality stuff. If Jason and Lewis had big money studio equipment, they would blow everybody away.
