Blondie- Eat to the Beat videos Blondie has long been one of my all-time favorite artists, and my favorite album of theirs is their seminal new wave smash Eat to the Beat. This was one of the first (if not the first) albums for which a video for every song was made. They released a VHS of the whole set in 1980. I never could track down a copy, but the idea finally occurred to me to search for the videos on YouTube.
As you would expect, these videos are very cheap, as they predate MTV. I particularly like the hysterical "Die Young, Stay Pretty" and "Victor" clips. "Shayla" is simply gorgeous. Also, "Atomic" is one of my all-time favorite videos for its sheer quirkiness and that scorching yellow shirt. I just thought I'd share these documents of Blondie's greatness and Debbie Harry's fabulously assertive hotness. Enjoy! 1. Dreaming 2. The Hardest Part 3. Union City Blue 4. Shayla 5. Eat to the Beat 6. Accidents Never Happen 7. Die Young, Stay Pretty 8. Slow Motion 9. Atomic 10. Sound-a-Sleep 11. Victor 12. Living in the Real World Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Though it's pretty basic, "Dreaming" has been my favorite Blondie video.

It's their best song too. It's not my favorite, but it is probably their crowning achievement. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Oh I remember this video set. I used to rent it all the time on VHS years ago. There was actually a disclaimer on the back of the box explaining that it did not contain the videos for Rapture, The Tide Is High, and Heart of Glass, lol.
Very good stuff. | |

Very good stuff. Does anyone know if PAL VHS copies play in Australia? I see a copy available I might snatch up. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

If they don't, check your local camera stores, some of them will offer PAL to NTSC conversion services. That's how I got The Undertaker transfered years ago. Also, on college campuses, there's usually a media center where they will do that kind of stuff for students.
