Side-Project Bands Arcadia, Down, Tones on Tail, Mad Season, Tom Tom Club, any other side project bands with one classic album? points if that band made only one album. Mike Patton bands don't count.

I really liked these:
The Glove - Blue Sunshine (The Cure's Robert Smith and The Banshees' Steven Severin) Max Q - Max Q (INXS' Michael Hutchence and Whirlybird's Ollie Olsen) Demonix - Never Felt So Alive (Christian Death's Gitane Demone and A Split Second's Marc Ickx) Murderdolls - Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls (Slipknot's Joey Jordison, Static X's Tripp Eisen among others) All one album only.

There are of course others that have recorded multiple albums that I like: The Creatures (Siouxsie And The Banshees), A Perfect Circle (Tool), Transplants (Rancid)...I'll try and think of some more.

Classic, if you think about it, Mother Love Bone only had one album, but it was Stone's Gossards next band after Green River, until wood, enter Pearl Jam.

Al Jourgensen had quite a cottage industry of side projects going for a while...Revolting Cocks, Acid Horse, 1000 Homo DJs and so on.
The same statement could apply to what's-his-name from Magnetic Fields - He's also recorded as The Gothic Archies, Future Bible Heroes and The Sixths. Tom Tom Club.

I really like it, probably moreso because it sounds more like Pearl Jam than Soundgarden. Definitely an album that deserved a larger audience. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

I see a side project as an album released by an artist or artists while their more popular bands are on haitus. I think Siobhan Fahey had already left Bananarama by then so Shakespeare's Sister isn't a real side project.

Funny, as I saw this thread I was listening to The Anvil by Visage. That and their self titled debut are both classic albums.
Better than pretty much anything by 'main band' Ultravox, as far as I'm concerned. I'm an insect who dreamt he was a man and loved it. But now the dream is over and the insect is awake.

Actually, it's a song from the Japan album Gentlemen Take Polaroids. The song may be named after the movie, though. That's David Sylvian in my avatar, by the way. I'm an insect who dreamt he was a man and loved it. But now the dream is over and the insect is awake.
