LMAO! She is a kook. A friend of mine worships her, and made me watch several of his Barbara DVDs. I get a laugh though every time I see her on TV or performing.

She spends an awful lot of time chit chatting on stage, it's like "shut the fuck up barbara and sing a song!" smile

Good for barbara! Good for the dixie chicks!
I am tired of the ignorant @ss citizens of this country who
think that celebrities don't have the right to criticize george

I agree, but you should give the finger to the Dems who've become weak & wishy-washy. They've let the GOP dictate the rules, they have no plan for America and they've forgotten what the Democratic party used to stand for.

Honestly, I'd be disappointed if I paid tons of money to hear her sing, only to sit through a long political sketch. Sure it's her concert, but it's supposed to be a little bit about the fans, right? They are the ones paying the money to see her, and making her richer and richer with each show.

That shit was hilarious. smile Good for her.

How come people only seem to complain about arists announcing their pollitical beliefs during shows when they're democrats? You never see this kind of hubub in the news when hillbillies like Toby Keith do entire concerts rambling on about their own pollitical beliefs.

Hypocritical? Frankly, I would like to see Barbra talk about politics rather than sing!

Streisand has outburst at NYC concert
Diva quiets heckler who opposed anti-Bush skit in show
The Associated Press
Originally published October 10, 2006, 12:17 PM EDT
NEW YORK // The most riveting moment of Barbra Streisand's Madison Square Garden concert was one of the only unscripted ones.

Streisand endured jeers as she interjected a political skit into Monday night's show, exchanging zingers with a celebrity impersonator playing George Bush as a bumbling idiot.

Though most of the crowd offered polite applause during the slightly humorous routine, it went on a bit too long, especially for those who just wanted to hear Streisand sing.

"Come on, be polite!" the well-known liberal implored. But one heckler wouldn't let up. And finally, Streisand let him have it.

"Shut the (expletive) up!" Streisand bellowed, drawing wild applause. "Shut up if you can't take a joke!"

With that one F-word, the jeers ended. And the message was delivered -- no one gets away with trying to upstage Barbra Streisand, especially not in her hometown.

lol You go, Barbara. Bush deserves to be made fun of, he's an idiot.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I like her voice when she is telling Connie to fuck off! Yeah, I know. The greatest voice but I can't get into that music. I did buy "Guilty", the album and only like the song "Woman In Love".

I don`t like her Broadway stuff, but she recorded many good songs in the 70s, just listen to "Stoney end" dancing jig

Yeah... I used to really love her voice. But as I've gotten older, for some reason I've lost interest in Babs--and the quality of her voice bugs me. I don't know if I would call it a "nasal" quality, but there is something that really bugs me.

A singer whose voice I really love Eva Cassidy--may she R.I.P. There is something powerful and pure about her voice. Plus Whitney's voice was AMAZING at her very best. I even love the quality of Bonnie Raitt's voice more than Barbara's.

Have ya'll ever heard of Linda Eder? She has a very Streisand-esque voice, but I think the quality of hers is better.

Barbara.. I dunno.. There are just some singers who have surpassed her in quality. She's a little boring to me now.

Babs comes across as your typical Hollywood bleeding-heart liberal. I remember one of her quotes saying she'd leave the U.S. if Bush got re-elected. Why is she stll here? That phony's not going anywhere, as long as she keeps raking in the loot from her scary-ass concerts. I'm no lover of Bush or the GOP, but I know where my bread is buttered and so does Babs. She's loves the capitalist system as much as everyone else.

IMO - Barbra has one of the greatest singing voices ever, but I can not stand the bitch. I used to like her many, many years ago, but the past 10-15 years she's become a stuck up snot who thinks her shit doesn't stink. I would never pay to see her perform especially if I knew I had to sit through her rants about politics.

She was damn funny in "What's up Doc"?, but now she's just a stuck up diva.

Once she left NYC and went to LA, she kinda lost it. They always do when it comes to that.
