Barbra tells fan--"shut the fuck up"

wasn't somebody yelping about how classy she is? lol
Streisand has outburst at NYC concert
Diva quiets heckler who opposed anti-Bush skit in show

NEW YORK // The most riveting moment of Barbra Streisand's Madison Square Garden concert was one of the only unscripted ones.

Streisand endured jeers as she interjected a political skit into Monday night's show, exchanging zingers with a celebrity impersonator playing George Bush as a bumbling idiot.

Though most of the crowd offered polite applause during the slightly humorous routine, it went on a bit too long, especially for those who just wanted to hear Streisand sing.

"Come on, be polite!" the well-known liberal implored. But one heckler wouldn't let up. And finally, Streisand let him have it.

"Shut the (expletive) up!" Streisand bellowed, drawing wild applause. "Shut up if you can't take a joke!"

With that one F-word, the jeers ended. And the message was delivered -- no one gets away with trying to upstage Barbra Streisand, especially not in her hometown.
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

I agree with the heckler!

IF I'm paying to hear someone sing...thats what I want...NOT your political view!!!!!

If you want to do that put on a political show off Broadway. NOT a concert!

It's well known that Barbra is a Bush-hating,liberal Democrat. It's also well known that she feels passionate about her political views.I'm not surprised that she incorporates her political views into her show.If a fan can't handle it,don't come to the concert. It's her show, she should be able to do anything she pleases.

That shit was hilarious. smile Good for her.

How come people only seem to complain about arists announcing their pollitical beliefs during shows when they're democrats? You never see this kind of hubub in the news when hillbillies like Toby Keith do entire concerts rambling on about their own pollitical beliefs.

I personally cannot stand Barbara, but good for her! If you're going to see her in concert, you should probably expect her to rant about her politics. It comes with the package (I mean, c'mon! If you don't know where she stands on things, then you've been living under a rock for the last several decades). I have no use for hecklers. They ruin the experience for everyone at the show, and I think it's great when performers take them on.

Whenever I've been heckled, I've made sure I found a way to pay them back from the stage!
