Leno didn't testify in his defence, like the majority of people testifying for the prosecution actually helped the defence. Leno was called by the defence to provide information on the Arvizo family targetting other celebrities for money since he was one of them. Larry King's prepared testimony was far more interesting but it wasn't allowed in by the judge.

Leno also stated on the stand that he thought MJ was guilty, but it got struck from the record. I wish Janet was there in court that day so she could have seen what a vile little weasel he is. If she kisses the big chinned moron like she did on his show last time I'll puke.

eek eek

Oh... I didn't know that.

I just don't like the guy. I really thought he went overboard with his little recaps during the trial. I don't even think Leno is that funny generally speaking either.

Mmmmmm. If Janet does appear, maybe it's due to Leno being a little kinder with her during the interview??? During DJ, Leno wasn't as tough as Dave. Dave just seemed to be tired of the bs. Dave was even tough with Justin from what I've read during a recent interview. I think Dave becomes annoyed with celebrities sometimes. lol If I'm going to stay up to watch one over the other, I prefer Dave to Leno.

P.S. I didn't watch Leno during the trial all that much, but I remember seeing little snippets of gags each comedian was doing. I think that there was even a "story" about it on one of news shows.

Apparently she's doing Ellen (YAY) and Leno (ERGH) next week. Seriously, Leno? I hope she bitchslaps that freak.

She's probably going to Leno because after her last Letterman appearance, they probably passed on her. Which is probably why not many shows are booking her, because her 2004 Letterman appearance is pretty much a template for this latest round of interviews. "I don't want to talk about that."

Hi I'm a new member. I got this from a Christina forum:

Okay, I spoke to Gil while Janet was right next to him, and there's a lot of going on. OMG, I'm like shaking typing this. Janet and Gil want me to spread the word. She needs our help.

First and foremost, let me say that there will be a tour no matter what. Virgin got a "talking to", and no matter what --- she is going to tour. There's a contract supporting this. They cannot pull out on the project by law.

Janet wants everyone to call Virgin when you get a chance or EMail, but calling is the most efficient. Leaves messages! The people we need to be contacting are David Munz and Jason Flam.

The reason for the album not doing well is Virgin is not at all supporting her on the Pop side of things. Jermaine has been doing his job by promoting Urban, but Virgin is not - I repeat - not supporting her on Pop.

The reason? Janet isn't resigning with them. Their attitude now is, "She's leaving us. Why support her?"

The most crazy/shocking thing is--

Janet has been paying for everything. Flights, Dancers, Band, Hotels....EVERYTHING! Virgin hasn't paid for a thing. All of this has been coming out of her own pocket. She's happy that she came in at #2, and it means a lot to her, because it was all of her work/money as well as JDs work on Urban.

MTV and Virgin are the reason for a lot of what is going on at the moment, but Janet said, "Remember, this is the beginning of the project too!" --- so let's just keep faith.

This is saddening and shocking to say the least. I don't know what to feel right now.

SPREAD THE WORD!!!! If anyone can get those numbers/EMails - please get on it!

Interesting. No doubt they probably are NOT doing their jobs but the cd is just NOT that good 2 begin with. At least in my opinion.

I think the relationship between Janet and Virgin is becoming more like the norm in the business. Record Companies are starting 2 PLAY themselves out. Soon there may NOT be a need 4 record companies. U cannot continue 2 treat artist like this and there NOT be a negative impact 2 the record company.

I think this about says it:

Dear Janet Jackson,

You used to be really respectable and fun and made killer music. "Control" was a seminal album of the 80's. "Rhythm Nation 1814" is nothing short of a masterpiece (visually and musically). "Janet." was a steamy dance and R&B throw-down that never wore out it's funk. "The Velvet Rope" showed a stunning potential for growth and depth in your work.

Seriously. What happened?

In 2001, something happened. Something bad. The suck that was "All For You". Okay, not every single album you put out has to be perfect. A smudge on an otherwise sterling streak of releases is healthy and brings you back down to Earth. It puts you in a place to re-assess your game and make up for it with something brilliant. That something turned out to be... "Damita Jo"? "Damita Jo" was your last get out of Jail Free card. I was not amused. Something was seriously arye at this point. I was hurt, confused and scared. Now we flash forward to last week and you drop the audaciously named "20 Years Old". Like, for reals? A twice-scorned fan base sends you back to the drawing board and this is what you come back to us with?! THIS?!

I mourn the cool you. What used to be this cute, charismatic entertainer has now become this sad middle-aged pop star white knuckling her youth for all it's worth. I don't mind that your midlife crisis has officially cleared the runway. I don't even mind that you were brazen enough to write off the most obvious publicity stunt in human history as an "accident" (read: wardrobe malfunction) and insult the intelligence of the world at large in doing so. But when the music suffers, you've gone too far. Your last 3 albums have shown no growth whatsoever. It's the sound of an artist repeating themselves. Badly. You've made it very clear that you're getting some and you love it. I'm no prude. You wanna share every sweaty detail about your moist and gooey sex life? Be my guest, but at least make it interesting.

You've been making complete and utter crap music that is far beneath your abilities for what I consider to be an unacceptable amount of time. Often times I used to defend you against accusations that you had no musical talent of your own but were only a tool for Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to crank out more hits. I now take that back. I'm putting my pride aside. I suggest you do the same and call those brothers and apologize for ever straying out of their sights and grovel your way back into their good graces. Like, now. Perhaps you can offer them some of this "sex" you seem so fond of.

Comparisons between you and Madonna have always been nothing short of laughable as Madonna completely revolutionized the movement of women in pop music , whereas you had the noteworthy distinction of being the most tolerable Jackson. But at least then you were making great music, so there was room enough for both of you in the charts. Take a page from Madonna's book. Age gracefully. Wanna hire a flock of nubile 19 year old dancers? Go for it, but at least make sure you can keep up with them. Stop trying to be something you're clearly not (i.e. the title of your newest release). What's that you say, Janet fans? "The title '20 years old' is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of 'Control'?" I got a better idea, why not just re-release "Control" with bonus tracks and remixes? I'll take a re-release over re-hashing any old day. But no, instead we get "All For You" Version 3.0. If you're gonna beat a dead horse, at least beat the one that actually won all the races. You are not moving forward, lady. By any stretch and this pains me.

If you don't start going back to making music I can stand to listen to, we're breaking up for good. Now you march over to that corner, sit yourself down and think about what you've done. Oh, and try not to masturbate. No one cares.

In a way I agee, i find it the most tolerable of the last three albums because it has 3-4 great songs on it (the others only have 1-2). It was however the point where Janet stopped growing and its rightly considered the point where her career went off the rails, and her judgement was lost. I think for this reason alone it gets a lot of hate.

wow it's so interesting to see how people beat janet up for her continuous discussion of sex on her records. To an extent I understand why some people are upset--like someone said before "she could make you get an education while dancing." That is what i liked about Janet, but at the same time I realize that she has talked about a whole lot in her 20 years. Some singers who have been around for a while are just starting to talk about stuff other than love and sex... I don't see anyone bashing whitney and toni for singing those 'you done me wrong' type songs (and 85% of their material is just that). No one is really bashing Mariah for singing her 'lost love songs' or rehasing "hero" for every album. (BTW--i'm not trying to hate on any artist. The three I mentioned are part of my TOP 5 female artist and I love them dearly).

But seriously, why all the hate on Miss Jackson. Ok, I will agree that WYM on All for you was gross and so was Moist and warmth (throb could be approaching gross--but that's such a fun song). other than that I feel that most of her songs that discusses sex / intimacy are done tastefully (rope burn, that's the way love goes, if, all for you, china love, any time, any place, twenty foreplay). even the sex songs on 20 y.o are not gross.

Also, people seem to forget that the AFY album was not ALL about sex. Some songs have a line or two that makes a sexual reference, but that does mean the song is about sex. People seem to forget the good / decent messages she had in the following songs on AFY: you aint right, trust a try, truth, son of a gun, better days, doesn't really matter. 6 out of the actual 14 songs were not about sex. and only 2 of the five songs sex songs were blantantly gross. now DJ is a different story...

leave janet alone. i'm sure she will return to making inspiring songs. but if it's not in her to do it right now then she just can't. as a poet and songwriter i know that it is very hard to do that all of the time. i have faith in her and i know she'll do that good stuff again. but at the same time her new material ISN'T half bad.

As a poet and a songwriter you should know that Janet's new lyrics are shit and her music is the eqivalent of a toilet being flushed to the tune of Mariah Carey outtakes.
