CANTON, Mass. -- Singer Bobby Brown will be arrested if he steps into Massachusetts, a judge said, after he was a no-show for a child support hearing.

NewsCenter 5's Gail Huff reported that Brown, 37, owes thousands of dollars in unpaid child support for two children he has with a Stoughton woman. Brown was expected at the hearing, but when he did not appear, the judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

"If he comes into the state of Massachusetts, he will be arrested," Canton Family Court Judge Paula Carey said.

On Monday, Carey said she did not want to hear about Brown's financial woes or his pending divorce from singer Whitney Houston.

"Whether or not he is going through divorce does not negate the fact that he still owes child support relative to his two children that he had prior to his marriage," Carey said.

The mother of Brown's two teenage children, Kim Ward, is owed two months worth of child support totaling $11,000. Ward has taken him to court for unpaid child support several times over the years and he spent one day in jail for failing to pay in 2004.

"I think the chances are very good that he will be arrested if he comes into Massachusetts. I think it is more likely that his attorney will surrender him at some point," Ward's attorney Linda Medonis said.

Brown's attorney refused to say where her client was or why he did not show up in court.

"It is just a very difficult time for him, as you can well imagine. The media is very aware of this very public divorce that is going on right now and it's unfortunate that we find ourselves back in Boston on this matter," attorney Phaedra Parks said.

Before their separation, Brown, a Boston native, and Houston lived in Atlanta. Parks did not say where Brown is currently residing.

Yes,Whitney has her own issues and we can't blame Bobby for her problems,but let's just say that,he didn't exactly help matters at all.A good,strong husband would not have just sat back and watched his wife self-destruct like that.I guess he was too busy messing around with that "video vixen" known as SuperHead (she says they had a 6-month affair in 2003)

uhh but you are forgetting that Whitney did in fact and even admit to having affairs of her own, so she isn't exactly as innocent and you are making her out to be. Let's not judge Bobby by assuming that he "didn't help matters" with her self destruction. Dealing with addicts is hard, and you can't make decisions for them, she had to realize she had a problem on her own. We don't know the half of what WHITNEY probably put Bobby through. If anything he had enough and probably just gave up....again my theory on this. Nobody knows for sure what happened in their marriage.

This guy is disgusting. And to think he had a highly-rated television show offering absolutely nothing.

I hope after the divorce he fades away but part of me thinks he'll always be lingering around popping up on reality shows here and there.

He needs to sweet talk that dumb ass wife of his and persuade her back long enough to bleed the money out of her. She's dumb enough to come back. Just talk a few sweet words and she'll run, jump into his arms, and wrap her legs around his waist like she did when he got out of jail. ....and if that don't work, tie a piece of crack rock to a fishing pole and reel her ass in.

The physical abuse is public knowledge and I think at one point,she was planning to file charges agaisnt him.

We all know that he was spending her money.How much money could he have made in the last 14 years? He hasn't had any hit records,no big tours,no career whatsoever.She was his meal ticket,plain and simple.Who do you think was paying his child support payments all these years??

As for his cheating....just ask that video hoe "Super Head".She says that she had a 6-month affair with Bobby only a few years ago.Reportedly,this was the last straw for Whitney and it's why she is filing for divorce.

I know you like Bobby and that's fine,but you're facing an uphill battle trying to defend him.Most people can clearly see that he is a loser.
