You knew it was coming...20 Y.O. vs. Confessions on a Dancefloor We had Damita Jo vs. American Life, All For You vs. Music, Velvet Rope vs. Ray of Light...we can't ignore this one.
I will miss VC on this thread... ...but I'm actually gonna choose Madge this time. Confessions on a Dancefloor. I love 20 Y.O. but methinks "Jump" "Get Together" and "Hung Up" are some of the best melodies/hooks Madonna has ever created. 20 Y.O. only has 2 songs that touch classic Janet for me--"With U" and "Enjoy." "Hung Up" and "Sorry" are faster than anything on '20 Y.O',and I tend to favor songs that are fast.Janet's album is a typical modern-day R&B album,and most songs are in the same tempo as Ciara's "Goodies".So the award goes to Madonna | |

"Confessions"...It's a return to form yet sounds fresh. The writing isn't her best, though, but it's stronger than that from "20 Y.O". Janet's new one isn't bad but it's not confessions, which has a few highlights like "Sorry", "Hung Up" and "Jump"....Can't say that about "20 Y.O".
