Bowie's 2007 Highline Festival

Anyone else excited that Bowie will actually perform on stage again next year? excited I wouldn't have wondered if he never did any big gigs again. I wonder what he has ready for us by then.

Anyway, just wanted to mention this in case anyone missed it.

Sounds like quite a plan! What do you think, will he have a new album ready for the festival? hmmm

i'd love it if he did...sometimes he does some rumbling around live when he's just about ready to announce a new project. let's hope that's the case.

David Bowie was my first concert, and out of my few concert going experiances, he put on an amazing show. To see him in NYC would be a dream..

It's "just" a festival he headlines and in fact picks the other performers for. I think it's even called "David Bowie's Highline Festival". So, no there aren't anymore hints at other gigs yet.

That takes money. I may be a music fan, but I also work a job that allows me severely limited spending cash. pout

I've been ripped off with online clubs before *coughNPGMCcough* so I'm a bit reluctant now, especially for anything you have to pay more than once for.

Bowienet's rather pricey, isn't it? Do you know what they charge for an annual membership?

I'm vaguely thinking that I might tentatively plan a vacation around this, and I'd be willing to sign up to Bowienet if it meant a guaranteed shot at tickets.

Sadly, yes. They had this very nice tour videos during the Reality Tour, but ever since there's NOTHING new except for the occasional contests to win whatever new compilation is out.

And it's $60 or $65 annualy. disbelief

Prince's site may have been a rip-off, but at least it was only a one-time payment of $25.

i still feel like i got more from npgmc than i ever have from bowienet. the only compensation is that bowienet has always had a better news page...but you can check that out for free.
