"Take Care" by Janet Jackson okay enough is enough. You had time to get your digs in after your first passive listen to the new Janet album. It is time to direct your attention to what is one of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis' finest ballads of all time  not just Janet, but I mean any they wrote for Force MDs, Human League, SOS Band, Alexander O'Neal, Mint Condition, Johnny Gill...

It's a nice song. Better than most of her recent ballads. It's sweet and sounds timeless....but the jam? "Enjoy". It's a very nice album, despite trying a bit too hard. I would like to hear the unreleased tracks but I would love like hell to the Japanese extras, since they are almost always amazing! | |

Yeah like better than anything in the past ten+ years. This is on some ole slow-burnin' candle, tender lovin', New Edition Heartbreak...na mean? Rivals even Janet's best ballads like "Lonely". Everyone readin' this just trust me, and listen to it in bed tonight, lol!  ahh ahhh

take care of me That's the best part! I'd put it as the 2nd best ballad behind "With U", both of which are easily among her best in a long time. I do like several ballads from her previous 2 efforts though, most notably "Better Days" (my all time favorite Janet ballad) and "Spending Time with You". It's probably the best song on the album...Jam & Lewis did their thing on it...And Janet's chord changes are very jazzy...I'm actually digging... | |
