What ever happened to ...

Rene Elizondo, Janet's former husband. Outside of this being related to Janet, I don't mean for this to be a Janet thread.

A lot of people seem to think that the was responsible for Janet's most "creative" years along with Jimmy and Terry.

But after he and Janet divorced, the guy dropped out of sight.

I was just wondering if he even tried to continue in the music business or what ever became of the guy. And since he obviously had some influence or input, I wonder why he didn't pursue the music business without Janet?

Anyone know?

Maybe he's been "secretly" composing awesome albums for a new superstar?

fans knock him for claiming that, but there is a noticeable downshift in the quality of her lyrics since he left.

I appreciate the link. lol lol I already searched his name though but didn't turn-up very much.

I guess it seemed like a stupid question, but I was just curious if anyone here had heard anything because some of you all seem to know quite a bit of info.

He is such a controversial person as far as Janet is concerned that even bringing up his name on Janet sites causes drama.

I was really more curious about Rene than his work with Janet.
It's just strange that the guy sort of vanished. eek I thought maybe he might be working with a more unknown artist or maybe choreographing? I haven't heard much about him as far as dance is concerned though.

More importantly, he was also a creative force nehind the videos..which also includes her image as you stated. As much as janet seems to be an independent woman, she seems to let men control her life a bit. Hence Jermaine Dupri

Excatly. If he was so talented, wouldn't he have hooked up with some, at least in the creative sense.

Yeah I liked Rene better because we never seen or heard from him. He just did his work secretly for Janet and never exposed himself to the media.

JD however just can't get enough of arguing with Janet's fans on the message boards and being incredibly annoying. lol

I'm sure his importance in Janet's career is slightly overexaggerated. That being said, i think he led Janet in the right direction in regards to image and her music. If anything he was a smart businessman. Kind of like Tommy Matolla for Mariah.
