Are Sly and The Family Stone getting Remastered/Re-issued?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/L...F8&s=music

It says that you can pre-order a copy of 'Life' - a CD which is basically impossible to buy nowadays - and receive it on its release date of October 3rd. Same goes for 'Dance To The Music' and 'A Whole New Thing' I believe. Sounds promising.

Anyone have any idea what this is all about?

If, as it seems, the rarer Sly and The Family albums are getting back into print then it's about fucking time. I've been waiting to get my hands on these for ages.

Oh man, as I look on Amazon.com, now Greatest Hits and Fresh are out of print. What is going on?

I'm actually a bit pissed off about these reissues, as I got them when Legacy/Sony reissued them a few years ago, owing to each album having a bonus previously unreleased track. And now they're adding about another four unreleased tracks to each album, so I'll have to buy them again. Take a look at cduniverse.com, as they have the new track listings up there.

Wow. I just went on cduniverse.com and it seems all three of those early albums are being remastered with a ton of bonus tracks! Release date is October 3rd. My dreams have come true.

D'ya reckon these will be readily available in the UK? Doubt it sad

"Greatest Hits" is being re-issued too, with extra tracks.

With the exchange rates being so good at the moment, I'm going to order all three from cduniverse anyway, PunchDrunk! I should be getting bloody commission from them for doing this...

I have "Life" on vinyl and it is not a re-issue but I was amazed to find out it isn't worth much. I guess they made tons of them?

I'm waiting for a 5-disc boxed set. I say it's time for a petition, don't you agree?

It wasn't that hard to find smile
EDIT: Just checked Amazon.com, they don't have any copies of Life on sale. Apparently, you are correct.
