Anyone like Darren Hayes?

I love this guy, he's an amazing singer!! One of my fav. singesr of all time his voice is incredible. You probally know him better as that guy from Savage Garden. He's wrote some the greatest and self-admiting yet un-apologitc sappiest love songs ever such as "truley madely deeply" and "i knew i loved you" but his solo work is AMAZING most his 2nd realse "The Tension in the Spark" which unfornalty was not realsed in the U.S. it was imo the best album of 2004. w/ songs like "Unlovable" which is an incredible song, and heart-breaking sad song. It also has the infectious "Pop!ular" who's remix acualy went to number 1 on the billboard club charts, despite the fact the albun was never realsed in the states. He also did an BAD-ASS piano cover of Prince's "I Wish U Heaven"

video of "popular" and "unlovable"

Fucking amazing voice!

Great first album. Second album had great melodies, lyrics and vocals but shitty production with al those weird electronic sounds.

He has 10 times the talent of JT and i'd love to hear him work with timbaland or the neptunes.

The gay thing put me off though becuase it makes all those songs to women fake and insincere.

How can i listen to 'insatiable' the same when he's talking about a man? wink

He's a big Prince fan two and covered 'I wish you heaven' live!

Well i dont think he ever mentions anyone being a women in "insatinable" besides i think it's he's Bisexual. I disagree about The Tension and The Spark i thought that album was pure genious!!

He's currently in the studio right now and is workinga new album, which from what i understand will be a double album!!!! biggrin

Loved the Tension & The Spark. Even after I downloaded it on a blog, i paid the import price at Target. It was brilliant. Thanks for sharing the videos. Didn;t even knew that they existed.

As far as his sexuality, a song is a song. If lyrics touch you in one way or another, the rest of it should not matter.

He's as exciting as a songwriter as 3 day old dishwater.

My wife has "Truly, Madly, Deeply" inscribed on her wedding ring because we really dug that song at that time. Still do. Songs aren't deep but the man has a great voice. "The Animal Song" is stuck in my head right now.
All good things they say never last...
