Girls Aloud "something kinda Oooh" Love these Girls

I have always loved the Brits Pop, a million times more than the US pop. I guess it all started in the 80's with the likes of Bananarama (who Girls Aloud sometimes sound like). I discovered these Ladies by accident, a few years ago when they came out they were largely pushed as a "tough" girl group, they did a few covers and that seemed to be their catch. So i passed on them, and it really wasnt until early last year that i started to really listen to them and then actually buy their current album "Chemistry", i was surprised to see they actually had alot of input into what they did, though they were always compared to the Spice Girls, Girls Aloud seemed to control where they were going. One of the best moves was to NOT bring them to America, i think that was mainly becuase of the whole Spice Girls thing. But like KYLIE, girls aloud have had success worldwide, even through all the rumours of Breaks, fights etc...

So now i was shocked to hear a new song already, since there last CD has not even been out a year yet and had spawned 4 singles. The track "Something kinda Oohh" is from their Greatest Hits coming out October 30th in the UK, and will feature their 12 singles plus some new songs, also on that day they will release their 3rd dvd, which is the Chemistry live Tour. The single for "Ooohh" will hit stores on the 23rd. Their really isnt a leader in the group, though it seems most popular is Cheryl Tweedy, the girls trade off vocals very well.

I have lust in my heart for each and every one of them...even that pasty-looking red-head.

...and, I'm not proud of this in the least, but I have to admit that I've found three or four of their songs to be perfect ear-candy.

I totally agree, though im finding im liking them more and more now. I think we all need that "guilty" pleasure so they say, i guess they would be that.

They won me over with "Biology", which features one of the most camptastic videos ever. I went out and bought Chemistry and was pleasantly surprised- it's a decent pop album. Even the ballads hold up pretty well. I'll be sure to get their hits comp.

I'm afraid I'm not quite as puritanical as I may have led you to believe. I love a bit of pop trash every now and then. wink
