Hey folks, He already did Madonna - He "Re-invented" himself from being the "next" Michael Jackson to the "next" Prince.

Actually, It doesn't bother me that he immulated Michael or Prince. I would like to like Justin and I actually really like SexyBack, I JUST DON'T LIKE HIM AS A PERSON. I just think he's a presumptuous, punk-ass user. He was Michaels' friend and wanted to be like him until Mike got into trouble. He was Janets' friend until the black-titty incident. Then had the nerve to induct the O'Jays into the Rock N' Roll Hall Of fame, which totally pissed off Eddie Levert (the lead singer of the O'Jays) because he wanted to look like he was down with some old-school R&B guys. Now he wants to be like Prince. I'm waiting to hear the story of Justin stepping to Prince at an awards show or a party, and Prince just walking away without saying anything like he did to that other punk, Fred Durst.

Anyone know why the song POSE (w/ Snoop) wasn't on Justin's new CD. It was on the torrent but not the new CD.

That was one of my fave tracks (reminds me of Lady Cab Driver)

well i'm glad he has suffered through the same abysmal record sales that have haunted janet since Nipplegate woot!

ONLY 711,000? i mean come on. by the time he finishes paying off timbaland and everybody else on this album (plus the record company), i'm sure his take home pay is not close to what Prince did on 3121.

really? (rolling on my backing, laughing and kicking my heels in the air with unadulturated glee) REALLY!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! JOY SLOOTHS AND SLIDES THROUGH MY VEINS!!! pleasepleaseplease god, please let his career be over.

so true. I'm sick and tired of hearing one song and being able to sing the original song over it. Like on Beyonce's new album she totally rips micheal jackson's "can't help it." on one of her songs.

on another note. even if sexy was gone, how would this fool bring it back? you can't bring back something you didn't ever have in the first place.

Karrine Steffans would second that. Anyone ever read the infamous 'confessions of a video vixen'? She gave him a lot of praise, but I wouldn't put it past her that he paid her to write that about him. She was/is a money hungry ho who told all the sexcapades of celebrities she wasn't cool with anymore, and withheld those she's still friends with who used her up just the same. If you didn't read the book WARNING! Don't waste your time unless you like to read about sex, gossip, and things like the National Enquirer. It has no valuable content if that's what you look for. IMO she's freakin nuts

And Fred Durst is nasty looking too. Who the f would want to brag about doing anything with him.

New York Magazine printed my letter to the editor:

http://newyorkmetro.com/n...ers/21680/

Prince Timberlake
Ben Williams’s reviews and analysis of the new Justin Timberlake and OutKast albums [“The Men Who Would Be Prince,” September 18] are spot-on, particularly regarding Prince’s influence on both these artists. Yet Mr. Williams forgets to mention that Timberlake’s song “Until the End of Time” not only “borrows” Prince’s signature Linn drum-machine sound but also has its title lifted directly from of one of Prince’s most lyrically beautiful songs, the ballad “Adore,” from the 1987 album Sign ‘o’ the Times, which opens with that phrase and is also part of the chorus.

I noticed he doesnt want to tick Prince off.

When Prince said "To those claiming to bring sexy back, sexy never went anywhere"

A few days later, when JT was asked about the sexyback song title he said "...well I dont think sexy really went anywhere" lol

I disagree. If you watch BET Uncut and listen to some hip hop tracks, you will see that sexy has been replaced by raunchy and vulgar.Sexy is classy, raunchy is gutter.Prince in his prime was sexy and provocative without having to use lyrics like"til the sweat drips from my balls".Can U relate?

It'll take longer than a year. Being famous requires little more than being famous. That, plus the facts that 1) Justin is getting so-so reviews for his blue-eyed Minneapolis sound, and 2) he's dating Cameron Diaz and will be in the next Shrek, mean that he's going to be around for another 2-3 year cycle.

Ha, now I will wait until my husband comes home to show him the article. I've been telling him that since JT made that clip with the dumb Britney clone. That is an important reason why he is succesfull. Especially the high voice he uses sometimes (which I like BTW). When sexyback came out I didn't know it was JT and when I said it was influenced by Prince my husband laughed "yeah right, you hear Prince everywhere". But now I have the prove!! cool

I saw that new video, and I turned it in about 30 seconds. Not because I don't like JT. Because he's hovering close to the line of ripoffery. The cadence and falsetto make it too obvious. It's not like "Rock Your Body" which had an Off The Wall vibe but sounded enough like JT to make it enjoyable on its own merits. That turned me off of getting it.

Timberlake admits to being "influenced" by Prince, but how does that "influencing" manifest it's self? Timberlake does not write his own songs, like Prince always has. He cannot dance, like Prince very much did. Timberlake is not sexy, like Prince was. Timberlake is not original, like Prince was. Timberlake is just a marketing creation plucked from the suburbs of Pleasantville, USA. He kinda looks like Eddie Haskell. Give me a break.
