I did that recently with Saint Etienne. I bought all the commercial albums, but then found out there were just as many fan club only releases that are very hard to find so I gave up. mad

I tried it with Stevie but his albums as a child haven't been issued on CD as far as I know. I can't be bothered mixing formats.

I also can't be bothered with singles. A few here and there, but no way am I ever collecting all of them. I'm almost there with MJ for the whole hog but I don't keep track of what singles I have. I have all MAJOR Prince albums, all Madonna and Janet, Terence Trent D'Arby... and a bunch of people who have only got 3/4 albums to their name.

I'd like to do it with Bruce Springsteen one day.

I'M A COMPLETIST...

For Meshell, I have her albums. And as for Prince, I have all his records save for his last two efforts -- Musicology and the other one.

don't even TRY with them, they are so full of compilations, limited editions and country specific releases that it'll bankrupt AND drive you crazy trying to accomplish this...

I eventually came to the conclusion that I'm not that big a Saint Etienne fan. lol

I'm pretty sure I have every Siouxsie And The Banshees officially released song--even Siouxsie's guest appearances without the band.

I think I have every Tori Amos studio song released.

I'm missing maybe three Janet Jackson songs--the Pops Up promo, her duet with Justin and that song with Randy when she was 9 years old or something.

It took me 3 years 2 get all the Mariah Carey records.
I have all of Prince's music but on mp3 discs. I've only bought 4 (Purple Rain, Sign o the Time, 3121, Musicology).
And I now want all of India.Arie's cds. I have ACOUSTIC SOUL. They're only 3, though.
I'm also starting 2 love Jimi Hendrix.
And ... that's it.
I have all of Alicia Keys' cds... Christina Aguilera's... Joss Stone...

I am

Hope they remaster his Come Back, Charleston soundtrack, and I'll buy his 1980's live album(not to mention, his 2nd duet album with Roberta Flack).

And

I want to get a hold of the stuff she recorded when she was in Curtis Mayfield's record label. But they're ALL owned by him.
