Tori Alamaze So I know this chick did the original "don'tcha" that the Pussycat Dolls later made more popular but who is she? what is her deal? Has she done anything else? She has a very cool look and I heard she's influenced by Vanity 6 and Sheila E.

yeah she did record this song before PCD and I actually like her version better. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

yeah she did record this song before PCD and I actually like her version better. I've heard a few people say they prefer her version. I wish she would reord more stuff. She looks pretty funky.

yeah she did record this song before PCD and I actually like her version better. Same here. Cee-Lo originally presented this song to Tori Alamaze in '04 and it was gaining a lot of steam by the close of that year (becoming a regional club hit on the West Coast), but $$$ later made him give it to Pussycrap, Inc. (who, in '05, put the MTV muscle and dollars behind it, after noticing the tune's viral response in the clubs). Tori's original version is much rawer and funkier. It still bumps. ... [Edited 9/14/06 10:03am] I didn't realise that song had been around for that long... Oh yeah. I remember going to a club in West Hollywood around Christmas 04 and Tori's Dontcha came on and everyone was getting down and I heard the song on the radio in Vegas a couple of weeks earlier. I hope she makes it cause that her version of the song was fierce. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
