i downloaded these the other day and i love them. he's gone is seriously rock direction. compared to when i saw him live a couple of years ago, this music is great. stay clear of him live. it's really uninspired twaddle.

the only thing is i didn't get the booklets for the cds.

i think i may like Vol 1 better. i should give Vol 2 a better chance.

i wanna hear these but i'm a little scared for some reason. i liked wildcard okay, but i didn't love it. and the cover art for the vampire albums is puketrocious! of course, that doesn't mean the music's bad...it just hasn't contributed to getting me geeked up to hear this newer stuff. maybe i'll take the plunge soon.

ya the art is pretty bad. kinda reminds me how bad that late 90s Prince art was altho that was a bit more polished.
but the music has a lot of acoustic and electric guitar and live drums on it. not a whole lot of funk and it's a vastly different direction from Wildcard which i do love. actually you could say these might be NFNF out takes.
