IMO, Lauryn Hill is going to lose to Missy Elliott on the aspect that her career is essentially two albums (one as a member of The Fugees and her only solo project) made in the neighborhood of a decade ago. Also, Missy is going to get some points for being an in-demand producer. You're right, it's rapping only. I have a hard time lauding someone's career achievements when that career consists of mostly two bodies of work (especially if it doesn't deal with a premature death or the like) vs. the peers, who stayed in the game longer.
