Ultimate Tupac Fan: My Journey, BBC 1Xtra, Wed 13th, Midnight-2AM GMT Hey guys, as some of you know, I recently went to LA with BBC 1xtra radio station here in the UK to make a documentary about Tupac Shakur, it's broadcasting tomorrow night (10th anniversary of his passing) at midnight-2AM UK time. I interviewed many of his friends and associates including producers Johnny J and QD3 (quincy jones' son), his friend and "lil brother) Candyman187, photographer and video director Gobi, and more.
After it's aired, we can use thread to discuss my documentary. You will also be able to listen back for up to a week after it's broadcast through the site. - http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra Hopefully you guys will all tune in! I haven't heard the final edit yet but I'm hoping they did a good job, its a 2-hour documentary and we had 1 hour long interviews with Candyman, Gobi and Johnny J each, so obviously they are going to be heavily edited. We spoke to lots of cool folks so I hope you guys will enjoy it. Also, I'm going to be on BBC Asian Network tomorrow morning (Wednesday) at 8:40AM on Sonia Deol's show talking about 'Pac, his legacy and specifically his influence on British and British asian youth and art. I just did an interview for BBC online that should be up in a few days, also... ...oh, and I'm going to be interviewing Tupac's first manager Leila Steinberg on Saturday, which is going to be edited and used when they broadcast the documentary again at the end of the month for 1xtra's hiphop weekend. So if there's anything any Tupac fans here want to ask Leila, post it here and I will ask her. To read the blog and see pics of everything that happened while making the documentary, check out the MySpace page. |
