Blackbyrds - City Life 
I've been listening to these dudes a lot lately, and I love this album. Of course, Rock Creek Park is a good funky cut, but I also really like Happy Music, Thankful 'Bout Yourself and All I Ask is a beautiful instrumental. The album reminds me a lot of Slave's first one and early Kool & The Gang. Any other fans? | |

I always loved their hits, though back in tha day, I listened more to Donald Byrd's stuff than his protégés...But I always thought I needed to own more of their albums  ...I really loved this one, Action(1977), especially that "Mysterious Vibes" track!!
