Sade - "Sweetest taboo"

Beautiful lyrics, this is why i love Sade...

"There's a quiet storm
and it never felt like this before
There's a quiet storm
I think it's you
There's a quiet storm
and i never felt this hot before
Giving me something that's taboo"

I love Sade too. She has a great voice, great lyrics and she's not a media whore or a pop princess. Her music is beautiful.

The lyrics, the groove and the voice,,,ALL make one helluva combination.

I've never looked to Sade as a singer, I still don't. I look @ her as a song stylist(Like Billie, Ella, Sarah, Nina, Aretha, Chaka, Gladys and even Grace Jones).

Each woman put standards of her own.

Anita is one of the baddest.

But I wouldn't call her a stylist, she's from the Sarah Vaughan/Betty Carter school. So, she couldn't really be a stylist.

A not-to-be-sniffed-at vocalist tho.

I love Swetest Taboo but if I ever get married I want these lyrics printed on the inventations.

From Kiss of Life:

There must have been an angel by my side
Something heavenly led me to you
Look at the sky
It's the colour of love
There must have been an angel by my side
Something heavenly came down from above
He led me to you
Just Call Me Afrochick
I love you mom

I remember always liking "Smooth Operator" but that was slick crap compared to this steamy number. I loved this video, too. I love the way she moves in it.

I like the "Sweetst taboo", but not as much as "Your Love is King", "Like a Tattoo", "Maureen" and the "Kiss of Life".

Btw I love how Sade stuck to her Yoruba name "FolaSade" as oppose to English name.
