Hey, thanks for the titles. I just downloaded "Shackles."

Can someone help me out, there was this song that came out in the 80's and I can't seem to find the title of the artist or the song. The lyrics are as follows: "they call it the box, makes you jump right out your socks, don't stop, we've got a lot to share...just turn us on...it's the way to start your dayyy...the box, we've got a lot to share...we're not talking sweat, just the notes that come within us, ...it's a FACT not CRACKER JACKS...swim right on in...our playground...you're now in...our musical sandbox...we call it the box...makes you jump right out your socks, don't stop...we've got a lot to say..."

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

I remember the video for this song as well. I got the 45 r.p.m. single in my collection. That was the jam back in the late 80's.

Hey DavidEye, thanks for helping me out. With your help I searched WinMx for Bill Summers and I uncovered "We Call It The Box" by Bill Summers and Summer's Heat. Also, I found out that "Jam The Box" is a song by Pretty Tony.

Also, Raphael Saadiq is a thief, I just listened to an old song by Bill Summers and Summer's Heat called "Call It What You Want" and he stole the riff of that song for the 2000 Lucy Pearl jam "You." Amazing what you can discover on the internet. I hope Saadiq is giving Summers their royalties.

I used to love that song too. It sounded like a Janet Jackson "Control" b-side!

Bill Summers and Summers Heat were a cool band back in the day.Do you remember their 1982 hit "17"? It was more pop/New Wave than their earlier funk hits.I heard that Pebbles (remember her?) started out in this group in the early 80s.
