Later With JOOLS HOLLAND

I got MAD respect for what Jools has accomplished so far .

Started in the early 80's with The Tube , an oasis of real live-performing artists in their studio , which was done in the US with shows like The Midnight Special or Don Kirshner's Rock Concert .
Some faves of mine which visited The Tube : Cameo , Miles Davis , Shalamar , Grandmaster Melle Mel & The Furious 5 .....

Jools continued that concept and has had numerous of interesting performances on his own show the last years .
I made a random selection of the many YouTube-lynx .
A P-appearance in that show would B AWESOME!
The listed dvd's above are a rich add to anyone's collection ... GRAB THEM!
Jools ... i salute U ... RESPEK!

Jools Holland's show is the best music show on British TV by far imho.

I recorded the show with Billy Preston on it about 18 months ago and it's still on my list of Sky+ recordings! That was a great show. Billy Preston was amazing (especially "That's the way God Planned it") but there were also great performances from Jamiroquai, Anthony and the Johnsons, and The Magic Numbers.

Im sure I would agree with you about Jools' show being the best music show on British TV right now. I remember him from back in the day when he cohosted a show in the states with David Sanborn called "Sunday Night" that had the most incredible musicians--people that you would probably never see otherwise and it was then the best music show on American TV. That's when I also discovered that he played some serious piano as well. I miss it still even though it's been years!
