The American version, although I've downloaded the Finn bros. version of 'The Two of Us' (which is great, but not as good as the Aimee Mann/Michael Penn version).

While most of these songs aren't too far of a stylistic jump from the original versions, I still like the vibe of the album. With one or two exceptions, it really holds together well.

I like it, too (although I think it's a little more hit or miss). By the way, that's not actually the Finn Brothers; it's Neil Finn and his son, Liam. I prefer their version, but that probably goes without saying. lol

My version of the album also has "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by Aimee Mann, which I prefer over the Black Crowes version.

I've never heard this album. I think one of my friends has it.

The cover art is very striking. It looks like it rocks.

biggrin If you're interested in Todd Rundgren, You'll dig that record!! And yup, they were mocking the Beatles' famous album cover...The Nazz version of "Hello it's Me" is Todd's first version...It's slower than the Hit version that showed up on his solo double album, "Something, Anything""....

...
[Edited 8/28/06 15:56pm]

See I knew you'd have the answer to that one. biggrin I only know the Nazz version of "Hello It's Me". I love that slow, lazy quality it has. nod

I only Todd I have is Nazz, Utopia, and Runt. I need to get more. nod

Wow, me too. nod It's only about half of that on the one I have. lol And Nazz radio commericals! thumbs up! I have a bunch of those from Cream, the Yardbirds, T. Rex, and Pink Floyd, but none from an American band I don't think. confuse

I haven't heard that Fiona song before.....I'll have to check it out. I'm not a huge Evanescence fan, but that song is kinda growing on me. Most of the time I use my T.V to wake me up in the mornings and that video was the first thing to come on. I love that dress Amy Lee was wearing. Have you seen it?

I will say it a million times - I LOVE the diverse musical tastes of Prince fans!! These threads remind of CDs I need to dust off and ones I need to buy.
