They both sound the same to me.
But I will say "Blue Monday" since New Order came out with that first and skinny Bob obviously copied them. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Ive always thought they sounded the same, too. Same drum pattern especially. I'll have to go with Blue Monday, cause seeing them do it live was pretty cool. A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

So I guess The Cure hasn't always wanted to follow in Joy Division's footsteps. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Anyway, I have to say I prefer "The Walk." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I'm just now hearing "The Walk".. pretty cool track. I don't think one copied the other.

Dig 'em both. Can't pick. They're 2 of my favorite bands, but these 2 songs are nowhere near the top of my list.

I absolutely adore both songs, but this is one rare instance where I would prefer the New Order track to the Cure one. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

What if you threw "Let's Go To Bed" in the mix?

What if you threw "Let's Go To Bed" in the mix? LGTB would win. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I never thought of that! Of what? Reducing the title to an acronym, or that it would win? Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I couldn't choose, I love the stuff both bands did in that era! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015
