Two of my favorites were Lover's Lane and Sex Appeal.

Georgio was (to me) one of the greatest Prince clones the industry had to offer. His songs had good memorable hooks and beats. clapping

No one I knew could hear these songs, walk away, and not have the tune
still stuck in your head! nuts

The guy was amazing! He had the looks and played his own instruments, the songs were fun, and I think it's a shame his music fell on deaf ears. I've not seen his acting (are they all straight-to-video flicks?) and wonder if he still dabbles around the ol' keyboard today.

I wonder if he knows Andre Cymone....

This guy was the ultimate Prince clone lol

The only song I liked by him is "Lover's Lane",that's a hot groove.It's funny how,in the 80s,Motown was trying their best to get a part of the "Minneapolis Sound"...in 1984,they signed Vanity....a year later,they signed Georgio,a Prince clone...in 1986,they signed BrownMark,Prince's ex-bassist.

hmmm

His songs were completely disposable and he was a weak vocalist.I guess alot of girls thought he was good looking though.

A funny story: when Georgeo made his first appearance on 'Soul Train',he performed his hit song "Sex Appeal" using mannequins! Host Don Cornelius was so taken aback that he refused to interview him (lol).

He was intrigueing to me because anything Prince-related or Prince-like always grabbed my attention. There is some guilty pleasure quality going on with this dude, but it is pretty weak overall. I have the first 2 cd's and I rarely even look at them. They just are part of the purple collection. Although, I did hear Tina Cherry the other day and it was cool.

Don't forget Rockwell's third album 'The Genie'. That was the most fake Prince funk I ever heard.

Georgio was a hack artist. He was an obvious Prince clone, save it also was apparent he had no originality or style. His songs were disposable and hardly memorable. As for having women hollering over him, Georgio came off as spectacularly effeminate even during an era of androgynous-looking men.

Georgio has made the transition to filmmaker with the 2003 release "Tapped Out," which also starred Coolio, Alex Avant and Jimmy Bridges. The film was written, co-produced and co-directed by Georgio, who also composed music for its soundtrack.
THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

I always wondered if Georgio could actually "play" and not just "play at" the instruments. A lot of cats bill themselves as multi-instrumentalists, but don't know the ins and outs of the instruments.
