Fun dance/strut video: Tiga's "(Far From) Home"

One thing I love a lot about being in Australia is that the music video channels both actually play music videos and feature a wide variety of them. One that has caught my attention recently is by a DJ/artist named Tiga with his video for "(Far From) Home". Simply put, it's a terribly catchy, funky little pop/dance ditty and it makes me very happy! The highlight would definitely be the strut.

Ah, this is a great pick, man.

IMHO, it's the best track off of "Sexor" outside of the 12" Mix of YGWM.

Tiga has this kind of glammed-up-but-dirrrty quality to him that I dig.

If you like this song, I also recommend checking out a band from R.E.M.'s hometown called Of Montreal (they have two tracks I dig called "Psychotic Feeling" and "Requiem for OMM2") and a new act out here in NY called Young Love [link]. Both make catchy, pop-infected electro similar to this in spirit.

How do you feel about the Sexor album? I haven't picked it up yet. Would you recommend?

Well... I previewed the album when it first came out and from what I heard back in February it wasn't enough to plop my money down. You may have a different impression, however. I tend to recommend Tiga singles over Tiga albums.
