Stupid Celebrity Feud of the Day: Justin vs. Taylor

16330__jt_l Sorry to be so late on this tip, but I'm just not cool enough to read Fashion Rocks, the Vanity Fair supplement in which Justin Timberlake, apropos of nothing in particular, dumps haterade all over Taylor Hicks. First, he implies that American Idol isn't exactly a reliable talent farm. ''I have a strange relationship with that show. I despise it, and yet I'm completely fascinated,'' says the former All New Mickey Mouse Club Mousketeer. He continues, ''People think he looks so normal, and he's so sweet, and he's so earnest, but he can't carry a tune in a bucket.'' Of Hicks' instant fame, JT says, ''Do you realize how much pressure it is to put on somebody all of a sudden? If he has any skeletons whatsoever -- if, God forbid, he's gay, and all these people in Mississippi who voted for him are like, 'Oh my God, I voted for a queer!''' (''Not that there's anything wrong with that,'' Lance Bass' former bandmate failed to add.)

Yikes. Timberlake had better watch out for the millions of Soul Patrolers who'll be waiting to ambush him, pelting him with old Sam Cooke 45s and jars of Metamucil. No word on what Hicks thinks of Timberlake, though if he's willing, PopWatch will broker a truce between the two singers: if Justin will refrain from criticizing Taylor (at least until after he releases an album), Taylor will return the favor and agree not to rip off Janet Jackson's top and cause a scandal that costs the networks millions in increased fines.

IMO - I think JT is just trying to create a bad-boy image. Taylor can sing and probably just as good as JT too. JT seems to want to be a bad ass for some reason, but I don't buy it.

JT's mad that a White guy won American Idol.

Yeah from alleged drug abuse ('when cameras arent around'...what a rebel!), to announcing at a press conference that he would change the course of pop music (let the music speak for itself JT) and now bashing on Soul Patrol....he really is trying hard to be a rebel. He needs to just own that he's a big fruity pop star who would be nothing if it wernt for OFF THE WALL and is now trying to sound like Bowie and Prince.....which will never happen...

Seriously, I think dude's just mad that another Blue eyed soul Southern boy is on the scene and already has a devoted Black fanbase. Maybe Taylor will tarnish his career and piss off his Black fanbase by getting on an AI special, exposing Mandisa's tit, and then backpedal out of it.

Man JT is a phony little bitch. He always tries to be this hard ass when he's weak as shit. That episode of Punked a few years back says it all. Plus him being so bold as to pop Janet's titty out and then say he was duped a couple of days later. Justin needs to go somewhere and sit dooooown. He's one lame motherfucker.

this seems a bit weird for JT and I wonder if the comments were taken out of context. Regardless he shouldn't be ripping on Taylor considering his own rise to fame thru crap like the Mickey Mouse Club. I'm not a Taylor fan, AT ALL, but I do know that Idol was just one stop on his journey with music and he has self released albums and whatnot.


As for the gay thing. It seems poorly worded but I wonder if he wasn't trying to make a reference to the Gay Aiken backlash...

Didn't he also make a comment about Kanye recently? Again, I wonder how much of this stuff is actually true. Not because it's Justin but just because I don't trust media sources anymore when they say so and so said such and such.

Too often do we find out that things are either taken out of context or weren't said at all.
