To this day Pete "deluded" Waterman still says he's one of the best singers in the world lol He seems to mistakenly believe that Rick Astley was the biggest selling act of 1987 and Jason Donovan was for 1989. Seriously.

Oh, I was really into Rick some years ago, before I got "seduced" by Prince. Now I've re-discovered that man. I just love his voice love And it's a nice change whenever I feel like the world of Prince is being too complicated and chaotic and I just want to feel good.lol

Me too! lol! Rick Astley was the bomb back in the day. I loved his little dance too. I think he paved the way for Clay Aiken!

Yeah. I read somewhere that Rick was the "poor man's Clay Aiken". I just had to laugh out loud when I read that. lol shake
I think Rick's voice is one of the strongest and sexiest in the business and I'd love it if he would make a come-back with a strong album.

In case you guys didn't know he's still active. Here's a link to his current homepage, if you're interested: http://www.rickastley.co.uk/

I never dug many stuff of S,A&W except for their own release & clip of "Roadblock" ... that was an oasis of something completely different from what they fed the industry with .
And another cool act they produced was Princess with "Say I'm Your # 1"

The Jason , Kylie , Rick , etc-stuff didn't bother me really .

I've seen one cool clip though from Rick , with gospel-choir backing him up .
Also not shure if that was a production of S,A&W.
He had a much cooler outfit than his debut-days , which i found too clean .

I'm still a Rick Astley fan. His blue-eye soulful vocals are surpass only by Michael McDonald & The Rightous Brothers. Quote me on this.

The only reason why Rick's career went downhill was because he simply didn't want to be a pop star (on a possible Michael Jackson or Kylie Minogue level). The pop life wasn't for him. Rick feels more comfortable doing gospel, blues, and Stax-like soul music.
