I just bought this today. Could this perhaps be the strangest Miles Davis album? I thought Live-Evil was something different, but On the Corner is just crazy. Madness.

Love it.

Anyone here who likes or dislikes this one?

I love this album as well. I'm actually spinning it right now.

it's really very cool, but you can't listen to it expecting to hear kind of blue.

I bought this album after ?uestlove put it on his "Recommendations To Prepare You For The New D'Angelo" list.

On The Corner is an alright album, some of the rhythms are a little bit too

repetitive. IMO it's nowhere near his best albums.

I love On The Corner. Check out the Jack Johnson sessions from the previous year for more of that craziness. Too bad he dropped the tabla/sitar thing the following year after the live album.
