In order to pick up a Memphis station, you had to be in North Mississippi. I'm in Jackson which is central Mississippi. Back in the day, I used to be able to pick up a Memphis station on AM called WDIA. I could only pick it up at night and it would fade in and out a lot. They used to jam but of course, everyone used to jam back then.

For you to hear those particular songs over and over, it was definately a station that plays current music. I don't do those type of stations anymore...ever (unless they have an oldies time of the day). I always said that if I ever caught someone breaking in my house and stealing my music that I would probably kill them because I would probably shoot myself if I had to depend on the radio for music.

I was in Olive Branch,which is ridicuously close to the Tennesee borderline.From where I was staying,all we had to do was drive a few miles and boom!...we were in Memphis.

What did you do in Memphis. Everyone talks about Beale Street but it doesn't sound like my kind of party because it sounds like it's mainly blues. Hell, I want some funk and you can't find that anywhere.
