Fear of a Black Hat

I watched this movie last night and it has to be the funniest, most underrated and underpublicized comedy I've come accross. This flick is hard to find and out of print, but if you happen accross it, do yourself a favor and rent it.

It's a parody of gangsta' rap and the early 90's hip hop scene in the style of Spinal Tap (I called it "Spinal Rap") or CB4. If you thought CB4 sucked and could've been much better, like I did, then check this sucker out and you'll crack up. Absolutely hilarious. Even the rap songs are pretty good.

Anybody else seen it, or even heard of it?

I saw this movie for the first time maybe 5 years ago!!! It is HILARIOUS!!! This was MUCH better than CB4, and you're right about the rap songs...they're pretty good! The best character HAS to be Tasty Taste (I think that's his name; I haven't watched it in almost a year) and their rationale for some of the lyrics in their songs like Booty Juice, etc... LOL! Too bad it's not on DVD yet with some extras or something! And it's also too bad that Rusty's next flick Sprung wasn't nearly half as good as this debut!

Cosign... Fear of a Black Hat was wayyy better than CB4... and the parodies were hilarious. Froggy Frog's parody of Snoop was so good, when they released a video for the song, I couldn't figure out if dude was seriously trying to launch a rap career or what.

I just watched this film a few days ago (I try to watch it at least once a year) and had it on VHS for ages. I agree with everything said above. It's rather bizarre that some of the songs are far better than the real ones they were modeled after. I think I've memorized most of the lyrics to the songs by now.

"Fuck the security guards". Indeed.
