I picked it up at Amoeba this past weekend and have been in lock down listening to it and watching the vids....

For those not knowing...Elektra/Rhino has remastered all 7 of her albums, made them DualDiscs and each album contains every video from that album. The sound is amazing and I finally got to see videos from VESPERTINE and MEDULA I had never seen before.

For die hards...this is a must own...the box is a beautiful red box and looks great on my music shelf!!!

For the not so die hards...I believe each disc will be reissued individually next month.

is the artwork the same? any additional tracks??


Lisa Stansfield had a box set released a couple years back. all the albms remastered, slightly different artwork and all the b-sides and live tracks. that would be nice

I only bought Medulla sorrounded, because I didn't have the videos.
'where is the line' video just grosses me out, she crossed the line of good taste thats for sure. but the otehr videos were amazing.

Though I already had all her albums and videos and Medùlla was a Hybrid SACD 5.1 in Europe.

A) I don't like DualDiscs. Many players (mainly changers) can scratch the other side that's playing and also many don't read the CD side so you can't rip them to your portable devices

I'd rather have 2 disc sets (Hybrid CD-SACD + DVD)

B) Another missed opportunity to include all the B-sides ...and rarities..and mixes

also, i don't like dual discs. i can't rip any of my talking heads brick to my mp3 player because they're damn dualdiscs. i play the discs on my TV because they sound great that way and i can look at all the pretty pictures, but i was kinda hoping to have them all on my headphones. ah well.

Actually, I ripped Surrounded to my iPod and it totally works. The thing is, I wasn't expecting it to sound that much different. Her work is all relatively new and so hypermodern sounding that I wasn't sure how much of a difference remastering would make. Plus, you lose a lot of sound quality on MP3 players. But I listened to Homogenic on the flight home and totally tripped the fuck out. And this wasn't even the 5.1 mix.

I wasn't going to buy it, but it was too tempting! I don't have the videos or 'telegram' so looking forward to it.

Instead of the dual disc thing, I wish they'd been double disc with a 2nd disc of remixes, b-sides and collabos. Now that would've made it worth the $$.

I'm not the Björk fam I used to be so all that other stuff doesn't appeal to me so much anymore.

The only way I will get this box set is if I sell all 7 CDs and the video compilations I already own. I'm so tired of these remastering to make money off fans. Why am I always working to make other people rich?

But, Bjork is worth it for the videos alone. Her videos are better than any other artists, except Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Nothing will ever be able to touch that video which put videos on the map to selling records.

SURROUNDED does have it's missess...TELEGRAM is not included and no bonus tracks...but the sound of the albums esp DEBUT,POST, & HOMOGENIC are just incredible.....

The red box is beautiful too!
