The Cure can be funky sometimes. smile

Ask Tron to make you a funky Cure comp. I'm sure it can be done.

Sure, it can be done. But funk isn't everything, is it?

shocked, blasphemy!
lol
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I'm listening to The Top remaster for the second time now and I had forgotten how much of a gem "Dressing Up" is. It's easily my favorite song on the album. Overall, it's not as abrasive as I thought. It's a big jump stylistically from the previous album so I can imagine how Cure fans at the time must have been thrown for a loop.

As if the shift from Pornography to "The Lovecats" wasn't enough of a clue. lol

Robert Smith is right- The Top is "fucking deranged", but that's a good thing. The title track is downright scary.

I forgot about that. I've been listening to all the remasters recently in chronological order and I skipped over 'Japanese Whispers'. And I didn't sell it for precisely that reason too--that it's an important link between the albums before and after it. I'll have to go back and do it right.

This song is so disturbing for some reason. nod I actually thought about choreographing to it at one point, but then I thought I couldn't do it justice. lol

It is an important transition. But I think it was more of a palette cleanser than it was related to what came before and after.

It would've almost made more sense if it had gone...

Porn
Glove
Top
JW
Head

But even then, it's a bumpy road.
