I'm listening to The Top remaster for the second time now and I had forgotten how much of a gem "Dressing Up" is. It's easily my favorite song on the album. Overall, it's not as abrasive as I thought. It's a big jump stylistically from the previous album so I can imagine how Cure fans at the time must have been thrown for a loop. | |

I've been listening to all the remasters recently in chronological order and I skipped over 'Japanese Whispers'. And I didn't sell it for precisely that reason too--that it's an important link between the albums before and after it. I'll have to go back and do it right. | |

It is an important transition. But I think it was more of a palette cleanser than it was related to what came before and after. It would've almost made more sense if it had gone... Porn Glove Top JW Head But even then, it's a bumpy road. | |
