I enjoy the fact that I can always count on U 2 take a issue with me. I called this one perfect...& its sad 2 see that U took the bate as I "knew" U would have something 2 say.
U have personal issues wit me. Don't care why, but B4 others catch on 2 how U like ridin on my words...please try being a little more on the under. That way U don't look like a jerk or an intelligent man with no-life. Is race a issue? who knows...what I brought up seems 2 B fact in terms of what is seen on those lists at times and whats not seen at all. I did say many more could B talked about if U cared 2 read. Meaning, Pat Metheny etc etc...white black or whatever the guitar players are...I brought up some people who I felt do merit the same luv so deal with it. If they so happen 2 B a certain race...(So what) It's who "I" wanted 2 mention. I'm not here 2 please U. U can think how U want...more power 2 U. But I know my life has much more meaning then 2 always try & ride someone else's thoughts or outlooks. My friend, U do know your music it seems...but It's also clear that U need a big hug...but I'm not the one, so join a church...if U already go 2 one, find a better one and chill~ PS...my flava in G-players run wild...so race in terms of who I dig don't come in2 play what so ever.

Afro Americans do have other fantastic players. Hendrix is the only brotha 2 B in the "minds" of most all, who make up these list. His impact was super huge, but 2 act like there hasn't been any other brothas who can play or are worthy since 1970 is a crime. Isley got his chops from the great Hendrix anyways..thats like learning how 2 fight from Bruce Lee. Hey, they have Santana on the list, so there's so need 2 put his brother on the list who can play some serious guitar himself? But U rather sell me "Kurt Cobain" instead? What about Eddie Hazel, who can play some mindblowin stuff..."Maggotbrain" dig on it, if U don't know about it...What about Wes Montgomery? Its easy 2 keep goin in terms of those who seem 2 get left off~ These lists mean what? Those who make the cut get a door prize... I hadn't even noticed till you brought it up, basically because I only scanned over it before. But you're right. So many Jazz and Blues guitarists that could have been included in the top 20 list. Though I have no idea who the entire list comprised of. But the thing about it is; these lists are usually always compiled to promote the magazine or web site. And believe me, the people who edit the mags and maintain the sites know that controversy is sometimes the best promotional scheme. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

To be honest, I have no idea who you are nor if we've had any previous discussions. I merely asked if you thought race was an issue, then listed guitarists who are not black and who also were not on the list. I purposely chose from a variety of rock and jazz players. The key thing is not so much that this is a reflection on you, but a reflection of the readers of the mag. Most of those listed are from white rock groups. The mag's readers are the "voters" I'm referring to, not you. Now do you see my point? test

Didn't another magazine rank Prince No. 30 of 100 top guitarists? That magazine ranked Hendrix No. 1, too. I think all guitar lists always have Hendrix as No. 1. Some of the lists will include Prince, and some don't.
