On Sunday night,I saw Cher in concert on her "Living Proof Farewell Tour" and it was INCREDIBLE!! There was not a dull moment anywhere in her concert.Her voice was in top form and she was absolutely gorgeous,changing costumes after every few songs! After opening with a great version of the U2 classic "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For",she launched into her own recent hit "This Is A Song For The Lonely".Then it was one hit after another..."Gypsies,Thieves and Tramps","Half Breed","Take Me Home","I've Found Someone","We All Sleep Alone","If I Could Turn Back Time","Just Like Jesse James","Heart Of Stone","It's In His Kiss",and many more.

Regrettably,she only performed one song from her latest CD! But she sang several songs from her 1999 comeback CD 'Believe'..."All Or Nothing","Strong Enough" and of course,the title track for the encore.

Like Madonna's "Drowned World" Tour from last year,this was a highly theatrical production that simply takes your breath away.There was an amazing "Disco" segment where Cher and her dancers get down to her 1979 Disco hit "Take Me Home".During "If I Could turn Back Time",Cher wore an outfit similiar to what we saw in the video (fellas,I know you remember THAT outfit...lol...).During the many costume changes,there was old video footage of the "Sonny and Cher Show".I cracked up when they showed footage of Cher doing "the robot" with a young Michael Jackson and his brothers.

I bought the $30 tourbook and it is AMAZING!! It is the largest,most extravagant tourbook I have ever seen (and I've been to ALOT of concerts).The pics are fantastic,showing Cher like you've never seen her before.My girlfriend is planning to use the pics for fashion tips...lol...


Opening act Cyndi Lauper was also great.She sang a hypnotic rendition of the Marvin Gaye classic "What's Going On" as well as some new material (she has a new CD that was being sold in the lobby).But it was her songs from 1984's "She's So Unusual" album that really got the crowd going."Time After Time" was performed as a slower acoustic number.Then there was "All Through The Night" and the rousing "Money Changes Everything".The encore,of course,was her anthem "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun",which had all the ladies on their feet.Alas,she didn't perform MY favorite Cyndi Lauper tune,"She Bop"!!

If I want to see that many fruitcakes in one place, I'll visit a bakery around Christmas.

Davideye, I'm glad you enjoyed Cher. I have been a fan for a long time, however, I have never been interested in seeing her in concert. She is a true entertainer though. Miles is just a racist pig. #1 - why does he have to call her a cunt? #2 - why does he have to call her a white cunt. Pure racist! It kills me just how racist some people are and don't even know.
