It still seemed to be following Nirvana's lead (who I love, but that was over ten years ago) or the whiny "punk" stuff. Radiohead was good, but kinda in their own world. Everything seemed to have lost it's edge in rock music, and I thought maybe it was dying. Then I heard Dead Leaves in the Dirty Ground, and it was such a relief. My Legacy

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I love the video for that; it's a Clockwork Orange homage.

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I listened to this album again twice in the last three days and I take back what I said earlier. There are songs as good as the single--like the very Zeppelin-ish "Broken Boy Soldier" that many people here like and I'm also very fond of "Intimate Secretary". It's a neat little disc.
I checked my work schedule and unfortunately both NYC dates aren't good for me so I'll have to miss them live. They might be sold out by now anyway.
